MT Power Drum Kit 2 is a high quality acoustic drum kit in VST/AU plugin formats for Windows and Mac OS X. Originally released as a commercial plugin, the instrument is now available for free download on the developer's website.
The product was priced at $39 when it was officially released back in January 2012. Without much hype (or none at all to be precise) this great virtual acoustic drum kit has been re-released as freeware by Manda Audio. There isn't any additional info on the developer's website, except for the fact that the full version of the product can now be downloaded and activated for free. It is unclear whether the product is fully discontinued, or perhaps the developer is working on a new commercial version.

MT Power Drum Kit 2 is a standard pop/rock acoustic drum module, featuring a set of great sounding drum samples. The drum kit does sound very good, however you don't get to choose between different drum elements. On the other hand, from what I've heard so far during my quick test, the drum sounds included in MT Power Drum Kit 2 should fit nicely into most rock, hard rock and pop mixes.
On top of that, the instrument includes a superb collection of drum grooves and fills in MIDI format. These can be used in the built-in groove sequencer, or simply added to your host application's sequencer via drag & drop. The drum grooves alone are definitely worth the download, especially if you don't really enjoy programming acoustic drum parts manually.
